ALMA rapidly responded to the state of emergency by pivoting from its Farm Stand to a curbside pick- up of FREE grocery kits to those most in need. ALMA is sharing 500 grocery kits to families each month for the rest of 2020, at no cost. The grocery kits include a selection of fresh and prepared foods.

Nourish LA is feeding their community with food donations from all around the local area. Excess food from farms, community trees, and food that would have otherwise been thrown out by supermarkets. Nourish LA takes this excess to feed who truly is in need.

They provide a weekly produce bag, which companies and individuals can sponsor for families in need. Each week subscribers receive a bag filled with seasonal fruits, vegetables & herbs sourced from CSU's urban mini-farm and local farmers.

They are unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are not eligible for unemployment benefits even though they're taxed every paycheck.

Future City Pantry runs a Free Food Market for the residents of Skid Row to address a need within a community where there is limited access to quality foods. They provide fresh produce, prepared foods, pantry staples and dry goods, hygiene products, reusable masks, clothing, and water. All of which is primarily donated and 100% volunteer-run.
